Girls Trip

Several friends surprised me with a trip to Dallas for my 30th birthday. Five girls, three days, lots of fabulous food and many hours of shopping. It was the best time. When we got to Dallas Friday night, we went to eat at Hillstone, formerly known as Houston's.
A chilton, long beach, and glass of red wine to start the evening off right.
Here are a few pics of a few things we ordered...among them; crab cakes with coleslaw, a french dip, and a burger.

I was in heaven and we finished it off with apple cobbler and coffee...Fabulouso!
After dinner we wanted a picture together...We asked three different people to take our pic, because they kept not turning out but the person who had taken it was already in their car at the valet.

Finally, we got a good one!
Saturday, we headed to the Dallas Flea....a great market with so many cool finds. Very vintage stuff, much of it hand made.

...with our finds.
Next, we headed down town for lunch....we got there just as they were finishing up the Christmas parade, so it was BUSY.

Lunch was Mexican food at the Iron Cactus.
A couple of the more colorful lunch items...tortilla soup with a salad.
Spinach enchiladas with goat cheese.
Next, coffee at the mercantile...
Pour over bars are all the rage.

After filling our tummies, we headed out for more shopping at Sam Moon. Everyone was in the mood to shop there and many scarves and jewelry were purchased.
To finish the night we stopped off at Mockingbird Station for a bit more shopping, then picked up pizza for dinner. The Christmas lights at Mockingbird Station were fantastic!
We pulled out of town the next morning, but not before breakfast at Cafe Brazil and a bit more shopping at the outlets in Allen. A fabulous weekend with great friends!
