And these are pictures of after we moved in but hadn't started any work yet. It is not looking too promising at this point.
But then my father-in-law, brother-in-law, husband and parents worked their fingers to the bones and Voila! Now I love this room...It feels so warm and welcoming.
We are still working on acquiring a few more items; i.e. art work and a different chair, but we are very happy with how it turned out.

What a big change! It's amazing what some paint, crown molding, carpet and a wider doorway will do to open up and freshen up a space. Keller and I are hoping to purchase a fixer-upper this coming winter and embark on our own Renovation City project. =) Glad you guys are doing great!
