The evening out in Kansas City was just what we needed...a chance to get away and relax. Above is the Inn at which we stayed, just blocks from an outdoor shopping area, the Plaza. We got there early Friday afternoon and then headed over to Kona Grill on the Plaza for happy hour...
What a great time there...a couple of hours spent talking, drinking wine and dining on Cali rolls. What could be better I ask you?
Breakfast was served outside at our Inn the next morning...and it was divine. A breakfast barbeque. (Cooked on above grill)
The menu for the morning was Croissant French Toast with peach syrup and Grilled Porkchops. I am not a french toast fan, but this really was delish...dredged in egg mixture and then cooked on the grill. It wasn't soggy in the least, but lightly crispy and tender on the inside.
mmmm....I would go back again just for the breakfast. Great memory. On the way home we decided to make a spur of the moment pit stop....at Costco to wander the aisles and see what samples were being offered. What a romantic end to our weekend! ;)
