lunch at nana's

My dad eats lunch at my grandmother, Nana's, house most days. And let me just tell you, it's no dry bologna sandwich with stale chips. Nana is an expert in the kitchen. So when we are in town, Mr. Sweet does everything he can to be "around the farm" at lunch time. Last time we were there it was a feast...
Chicken fried steak covered in white gravy, home grown corn, and a side salad of fresh greens, cranberries and tomatoes. And if that isn't enough to send you over the edge, this was waiting for us for dessert....
Just out of the oven, warm apple pie. My heart is fluttering now, even as I remember this meal.
If you are ever offered a chance to dine at Nana's, please don't pass it up. Your tastebuds will thank you.
